We
decided to travel to Robert's Arm, located in beautiful Green Bay, Newfoundland
to hike a very popular and picturesque walking trail. This trail, complete
with boardwalk and steps, is indeed a wilderness adventure. It will take you
around scenic Crescent lake and, for the more adventurous, hike to the top of
Hazelnut Hill to get a breathtaking view of the surrounding area and the Townof Robert's Arm. Hazelnut Hill is connected to the mainland by a 40 meter
bridge (an attraction in itself). Learn the history and the early days of
logging on Crescent Lake, Tommy's Arm River and the history of Captain
Philip Cleary. Sit and relax at Cressie's Castle and you may even get a glimpse
of Cressie, the monster of Crescent Lake. We rated this hike as easy to
intermediate.
