Route 330-45 Deadman's Bay to Lumsden, NL Along the "Straight Shore" June 11, 2016

So here we go! Off to visit a small community called Deadmans Bay, Newfoundland. This small community is located along Route 330-45 of the Gander to Gambo Loop which runs from the Town of Gander bay to the Town of Gambo, also called the "Straight Shore" We had to leave route 330 to drive through the quiet community of Deadmans Bay to reach an area where we could have access to beautiful views of the ocean up close and personal. The rock formations are a sight in itself, Huge flat rock formations with numerous striations. Here we got to experience majestic icebergs and crashing surf against the rocks. Pack a picnic lunch and stop awhile in  Deadman's Bay Provincial park and experience the sandy beaches. It is a favourite of ours as we have our own cottage in the area. We visited this place a few times last summer and Fall, each time there was something exciting to experience.

Then we took a quick trip to Lumsden!

Of course you have to get a 10,000 year old piece of  ice called "Bergy Bits" to keep your evening refreshment cold!
